Lazy days of Summer

Can you tell these two are my favorite to catch napping.

Thanks to Schantell I have myself a season pass to Golfland/Sunsplash, and I'm definitely taking advantage of it. They've got a number of new slides, I'd have to say the Sidewinder is the best, it gives you a good adrenaline rush, and the raft is like a recliner.

So enjoy these dog days of summer.

I really wish I was going somewhere-New York, Washington, Vermont, or Montana (sigh) instead I'm going to Phoenix to Chase Field. Which I'm very excited about, it should fill my little baseball heart with joy. I just got good news too, I won't be going to the All-Star game alone-Trevor bought a ticket, although it's no where near me :(

I'm stunned that June is about to close out, good thing I'm not in school anymore I'd have to start freaking out that my summer is half way over.

Catching Up

It's only half of the year, I can do this

JANUARY

Went with the family to Sedona, a good fun, and cold trip.

FEBRUARY

Birthdays and baptisms galore, plus two new members added to the family.

Weston Travis Evans &

Pretty little Sesilie Renee Neus

MARCH

Candace got married

Spring training at the Diamondbacks/Rockies new field Talking Sticks, it's very nice.

APRIL

EASTER!
Also of course the annual Easter Egg Bash.

I made a Stephen Drew Egg :D

Oh and Mr. Orson Marcus Evans came and joined our family.

MAY

I turned 26! It was a very good birthday, my D-backs started their crazy winning streak, a laptop, shopping, good food, a baptism, and a surprise party. We played softball, was so stinking happy that day. (My visiting teacher made this cake I thought it was pretty rad, she did a good job)

Memorial day my cousin gave me his season tickets, invited some friends and got great shots of my favorite players-Stephen Drew and

Kelly Johnson :D

and even got on TV to boot.

JUNE

Baseball, baseball, and more baseball-just a tad bit obsessed....

Love this pic-the boys stretching.

It's been much more enjoyable to watch them this year.
(Get your mind out of the gutter ;) )

I love my Diamondbacks and yes I'm really obsessed with them at the moment, I know I need to find a man. Arizona is really great for my baseball fix-so I don't know about Idaho.

I finally got my All-Star ticket, the reason why I got a season ticket, so I could get first come dibs. I've been wanting to go to an All-Star game for 10 years now and when I saw it was going to be in Phoenix I was so overjoyed.

Well that's been my life for the past six months. This post was way lame, sorry I'll do better.

Utter fail

Behold the Gingerbread House

I can't remember the last time I made a gingerbread house, so I wanted to do one this year, since I didn't carve a pumpkin :( So with the purpose of hanging out with more people from my ward and my friend's ward we decided to have a night dedicated to making gingerbread houses. Sadly Schantell was the only one that ended up coming. I thought we were going to do the cheapy ones I was use to (graham crackers, cake frosting ect.) but Schantell wanted to do a kit, so we did that, my first time ever with a kit and I do believe it turned out pretty spectacular.

Posting for Carrie

Such a good sister I am, I know :D

Abby's 4th Birthday

Mesa Temple lights

The problem with these pictures were when Sawyer wasn't looking drunk-Abby was -_-'

The Neus Family

Bowling (insert all the Jim Gaffigan jokes here ___)
So we were going to go around 6:30-7 but it wasn't open to the public, so we saw the temple lights and then went bowling later thanks to Carrie and Brendon being kind parents instead of wise ones-ha ha no Sawyer had gotten her hopes up to go and there free thing was about to expire. So what if we were up bowling past 10:30 on a school night.

I bowled two strikes in a row that night-other than that I did amazingly crappy :(

The Puzzel Obsession

So Tia (the girl I do respit with) is all about puzzles and so when ever a holiday or a need pops up what do I do but go out, and buy her a puzzle. In doing so, that had brought to my attention 'The Saturday Evening Post' puzzles and I just had to collect them all like an obsessed little child. The excursions were many because Wal-Mart was not always fully stocked with the ones I needed but the story is happy and I collected them all. So one lonely Sunday night I started one puzzle put on church movies (John Tanner Story, Legacy, and Charly) and put that little puzzle together and found out how addicting puzzles and the BYU channel is for me, so much fun and so much love-yes I am a different breed.

The Best Thing About Thanksgiving Turkey

So I'm not going to lie, I am not the biggest fan of Turkey, will I eat it, and be fine with it-yes-but I much prefer the cow-mmm yummy. Don't get me wrong I love Thanksgiving, but it's what happens after Thanksgiving that I anticipate and that would be-

TURKEY FLAUTA NIGHT!!

The mamsey really out did herself this year, she spiced up her usual recipe and it turned out amazing-plus you have Reddin's homemade salsa to go along with it, and then you can understand why Trevor ended up having 10 of them.

Just check the Liam love out-he can't even contain his excitement.

Out With the Old in With the New!

And I'm really not talking about the year-definitely don't want that to end because it really just started (you know you're getting old when.....). Now I know you're all thinking WOW because as you can see there isn't a 6 month gap between this post and my most recent one, I know I'm amazed too. Well one of my excuses is no longer one-

I have a brand spanken new camera-ain't she a beaut? She was definitely worth a pretty penny. Now I just need to figure her out. I don't know how she became a she.... -_-'

So sianara to the old Casio, thanks for serving me well, I do love the size of it though, it's the size of my Razor (yes I still have a Razor). It was a nice step up at the time I got it and now it's being replaced.

After dealing with these pieces for quite a while, I finally broke down and got insurance and bought me a new pair of glasses-which is kind of a sad story because the pair I fell in love with were discontinued so these are my second choice, I like them all right, but I still saddened/bitter over not having the pair I fell in love with.

So wahoo for things that are new!

Buffalo, Palmyra, & Niagara Falls

I decided I needed a change of venue, so I called up Travis and set a time to go out to pay him and the family a visit. I had it in my mind to go see the fall colors, but it didn't work for me to go out at that time so I ended up going to the Northeast at probably not the smartest time of year. It actually wasn't that bad, still pretty mild, and I a thin blooded Arizonan was able to bear it. Actually the timing worked out pretty well, a friend of Trav and Steph passed away when I was there so I was able to really help them out and I was grateful for that.

I loved it though, to get away from the rut of daily life, seeing new sights, seeing family, eating Stephanie's cooking, experiencing Buffalo culture and many other things.

I did babysit a lot but who wouldn't want to watch this adorable little one?

He better enjoy this attention while it lasts-wahoo for February!

and he chooses the football over his parents (that's cold Collin)

Good times at the park/school

So precious.

I absolutely love this next picture, so Collin's friend Gavin had this Easter duck thing that would sing and the singing freaks poor little Gavin out, but Collin heard it, picked it up got this huge grin on his face and bear hugged it.

Therefore Collin inherited it. I don't know if Travis and Stephanie are tired of it yet.

So I noticed I took a lot of pictures of Collin eating -_-'

Then there was this day. We planned on going to Palmyra on Saturday, but the temple was closed >.> So on Tuesday Travis 'cough cough' skipped out on his afternoon classes and we were off to Palmyra. This was a special day. First off to be able to spend time with Travis was great, him being only two years older and us being in school at the same time I've always looked up to him and in a sort of way worshipped him I would do anything for him-I don't think that's changed. He was that cooler older brother to me. Then with such a deep passion, I love church history. Love it, I can't explain it, everything about those places makes me so overjoyed so I definitely loved every minute of that trip.

The Sacred Grove :D It's amazing the spirit that's there, it was nice to be able to be there all alone, even though it wasn't like how I'm use to seeing it.

I found some fall colors there

I love this temple for what it signifies. Just thinking of Joseph ever so desperately searching for the truth. Finding it and then being mocked and hated for saying he had done so. Now a temple of the Lord faces that place where he went out and said a humble prayer and received an answer. So grateful for the Restoration, love the gospel and it's history.

I really wanted to do a session-but-I'll be back to visit the new baby and then maybe I can.

Yay for the Hill Cumorah-I need to see that pageant one of these days.

Then to where the Book of Mormon was published, we had our own personal tour and I learned a lot of neat things-it was awesome.

On the last Sunday I was there we took a trek to Niagara-the weather was a little discouraging because it was raining when we left but it stopped and didn't start again on us. I found more fall colors there too-it was great.

Thank you Trav and Steph for your hospitality!

I kept picking the good days for sight seeing, I swear those were the only overcast days while I was there-ha ha-life. It's nice though it's a lot more things are free during the off season and it's not so crowded.
So all in all it was a great, grand, and wonderful trip. Again thank you Travis and Stephanie for letting me stay. Can't wait to see you all again.
