Easter Holiday in Coimbra

So that was Tuesday and on Friday started the holiday-yeah they celebrate for three days here and it was like Christmas all over again, there were not many people on the streets and if they were they weren’t from here. It’s interesting to find out the different customs for the holidays here, it’s not so much about the Easter bunny and eggs here-pois this is Catholic country-they have it, but they have different traditions like a priest walks around with a cross and he visits the people in their houses, not here in Coimbra but in the little cities surrounding it. We got canceled on a lot this past week and I think Easter was one of the reasons.
